A straightforward, quaffable Riesling from the Weinbiet cooperative's 70a monopoly vineyard 'Haardter Schlossberg', of which they only produce 4000 to 5000l per year. Like their other entry-level wines, it's a great-value Riesling, with a pleasant mineral streak running through fruity aromas of citrus, pear & peach, followed by juicy acidity (7.8g/l) and a good nudge of residual sweetness (6.5g/l) on the palate. On the finish it loses its fruit rather quickly, but again: a lot of Riesling for a small price. 100% Riesling. Pfalz, Germany. 12.5% ABV.
